If It’s Not Broke, Don't Fix It
This entry will serve as my mission statement. It will be a little convoluted, but I really have no goal. I do not seek to educate, nor am I trying to entertain. I only seek to strengthen my writing. This blog is for the few, not the many. If this does nothing for you, slink back to TikTok and let your brain cells rot. I am an unreliable narrator, my words should not be taken as gospel and I am not above being questioned.
This "project" started with me wanting to create a podcast, but I dragged my feet for so long that podcasts are now for influencers and celebrities. I am neither of those. This “project” morphed into a blog when I returned to Facebook for my job, I know, I don't like it either. While navigating to the business portion of FB, I ended up on my profile page and the link to my old blog, from when I studied abroad, jumped out to me. A few clicks later... and you know what? I realized that I'm funny, and I have a voice. It was a sign.
So here we are, back on the ol' blog. I do not plan on updating the style, and that's not because I like nostalgia. In fact, I loath nostalgia, it's the device companies use to sell us items we've already purchased, ideas we've already seen. I believe in tradition though. Somethings stay the same because that's the way they're supposed to be and this is one of those things.
On a serious note: I was talking to a friend about writer's block and how I couldn't fully finish any thoughts and they advised me to "just fucking write". Those weren't the exact words used, but it's what I heard and needed to hear. To that friend: Merci pour les conseils et le soutien, je t'aime mon ami.
With time, comes understanding. Let's ride.
