Will I ever beat Nick?

As my buddy Nick said in his blog he has beaten me to the punch and posted before I did. It was my only goal to beat him but as always he out does me. That's life. But anyway Congrats Nick! You outdid a slacker! Now, lets get down to business.

Well my second and third weeks of break have been quite boring to my delight. Doing nothing but listening to music and slothing around is one of my favorite pastimes. My first week, I did nothing but be a recluse. Unfortunately, I talked smack to one of my friends (who shall remain nameless) who enjoys being a recluse, therefore, I needed to unreclose myself. So I went to the banks of the seine river because it was beautiful out. ( I meant to brag about this earlier because well at the time it was negative degrees in Illinois) To your right you will see the beautiful Banks of the seine. There were tons of people there, they were talking some were playing music and some were making out (Tourist tip: while in Paris it is not uncommon to make out with some one anywhere so don't be shocked when you see it).  Quite pleasant.  I really haven't posted because well I have done nothing interesting.

That is besides getting told by my host mom that my life is depressing cause I sleep to much. It's ok I accept it because she has given me valuable food cultural experiences. I will talk about one of them. After working and making a stop in Toulouse, n the south of France, she was excited to show me some French culture. She went to a market there and had a heyday. The salad has hard boiled eggs with mayonnaise. The mayo is not American mayo it is French and taste better more sweet def not made the same way its made with musard the hard boiled egg yolk and something which I forgot. Next, You will see the Boudin aux pommes. Which is a sausage in Apples. May look weird but I was good. I think my father would like seeing that we used to eat "heart dogs". I should probably tell you it was a blood sausage with pig in it. I know sound unappealing but we Duncan's eat almost any things. For desert we had Baba au Rhum which is a cake soaked in rum with chantilly cream (whipped cream). My host mom bought this at the super market bakery and she was disappointed in it. But she is the BIGGEST critic in the world. I thought it was mighty tasty. Luckily, I have school next week so I will have stuff to do. But before I go back to the grind I going to Athens. Jealous? You should be!
